About HATL

On 20th July 2020 an association comprising of energetic youths has been formed under the aegis of village elders of Tapovan to put forth issues pertaining to the hotel owners of Tapovan laxmanjhula area. The organization will strive to promote tourism in the area which has over 350+ lodgings but also employs approximately 5000 people directly and indirectly and contributes yearly crores of rupees in valuable revenue in the state govt. and the central govt. coffers.

The density of lodgings and tourism activities in a small area of 4 kms radius with over 40 registered tourist activities is unparalleled in India.

We aim to act as bridge between expectations and aspirations of our industry and the Government at all levels. We solicit your support and blessings at start of this unique journey. To establish a connect a vigorous membership drive has been launched and we will be reaching out to all stakeholders.

Currently he is managing Hotel Peepal Tree,Hotel Kunwar Residency & Cafe Brew Master in Tapovan,Laxman jhula area.

Mr. Bijendra Panwar has over 24 years of cumulative experience in the hospitality business. A successful entrepreneur with long experience in adventure tourism. He has the ability to meet challenges under pressure. Currently, he manages the Hotel Shivansh Inn.

Mr. Nitin Kuliyal comes with a bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration and has over 10 years of experience. He is currently into an academic role in managing his own hospitality institute in Chamba for past 7 years and does consulting on turnkey projects.

Mr. Pankaj Shahi comes from a hospitality background carrying a rich experience of 17 years plus ranging from Moets to Wipro in all roles, he currently manages Bistro Nirvana Chain of restaurants and Green Valley Cottage.

Mr. Prashant Maithani is a person of an accounting background. worked with Bouygues Construction (French Company) in Turkmenistan for over 6 years. He has excellent fluency in the Russian language. Extensive experience inbound and domestic tourism, engaged in operating his own tourism business "Voyages en Himalaya" since 2008. He is also running Maithani Homestay since 2014.

Mr. Maneesh Kaintura comes from a hospitality background with formal qualifications from @ I.H.M. GOA under National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, PUSA, Delhi and the University of Perpignan, France, he has worked in various roles in the hospitality sector in India and abroad with experience ranging 18 years plus. He currently manages his own property Vedas Tapovan.

The Hotel Association will encourage and support the sustainable growth of member hotels through lobbying efforts, national and international linkages, marketing initiatives and training opportunities and ultimately get Tapovan Laxmanjhula its due recognition as a top destination on world tourism map.

Vision

We aspire to be the powerful voice representing interests of the broad hospitality sector - covering small to medium accommodation providers and hotels of the Tapovan Laxmanjhula area in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India.

Our Objectives

  • To promote, protect, cooperation amongst hotels and other bodies interested in the tourism industry and afford a means of exchange of information on all matters affecting the hotel and tourist in Tapovan Laxman Jhula.
  • To establish and enforce a code of ethics to be followed in all business dealings between hotels in Tapovan Laxman Jhula, their patrons and other bodies interested in the travel and/or tourism industries.
  • To confer, correspond, deal or enter into any arrangements with any Governments or authorities (municipal, local or otherwise) or any companies, firms, organizations or persons as may seem conducive to the attainment of the Association’s objectives or any of them. 
  • To represent, foster, develop, encourage and improve the tourism industry and to establish standards and make regulations which the Association may, from time to time, deem conducive to the better operation and expansion of the industry.
  • To foster both foreign and local goodwill towards the hotel and tourism industries of Tapovan Laxmanjhula, Uttarakhand.
  • To represent, develop & improve the tourism industry by ensuring a conducive environment with regard to offline and online travel agents (OTAs).
  • To inculcate the culture of tourist-friendly palace with the spirit of athiti devo bhava by maintaining benchmark for all its members.
  • To assist socially and economically in promoting business through active participation of all members keeping all aspects of development in the tourism industry.
  • To promote and indulge in social and environment-friendly causes with the help of members /bodies / NGO’sfor the welfare of Tapovan, Laxmanjhula.
  • To promote legislation calculated to benefit, improve and expand the hotel and tourist industries of Tapovan Laxman Jhula and extend advice on legal and tax matters pertaining to the hotel industry.
